Gor Amoto and Link
|First appearance||Twilight Princess (2006)|
- "I thought I felt a presence...but what a surprise to find a young human... Word has come to me of you...and if Gor Coron has faith in you, then your heart must be true. I am one of the four Goron elders. Gor Amoto is my name."
- — Gor Amoto
Gor Amoto is one of the Goron Elders in The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. He is the first Goron Elder Link meets in the Goron Mines, and provides Link with the first shard of the Boss Key. He is a very short, frail Goron, and could well be the oldest of the Elders. He also has a long, rocky beard and geyser-like growths coming out of his back. Unlike Gor Liggs and Gor Ebizo, Gor Amoto doesn't travel to Kakariko Village once Link collects all three Fused Shadows. Instead, he stays and manages affairs at Death Mountain along with Gor Coron.
This Goron Elder is actually named after Shigeru Miyamoto, and may possibly meant to be his Goron alter ego. In the Japanese version of the game, he is named as "ドン・シーゲル" (Don Shīgeru) and in the English versions, Amoto is clearly the last five letters of his family name.
