Gooma is the boss of the Ocean Palace, the fifth dungeon in Zelda II: The Adventure of Link. He is a giant humanoid monster that attacks with a Ball and Chain. The name "Gooma" was already used in the Japanese localization of the game for the Mace-throwing Monster. In the Japanese original, Gooma's name is "Jianto", or simply "Giant".
[edit] Battle
The ball and chain deals tremendous amounts of damage and knocks Link back, should he be hit. Because Gooma's head is invulnerable, Link must hit his body with a sword attack to damage him.
