During his quest to save the land of Termina, Link finds himself exploring the Stone Tower Temple. Inside, he finds the Giant's Mask, which allows him to become Giant Link. Utilizing the Giant's Mask, Link defeats the temple's boss, Twinmold.
The boss arena where Twinmold is fought is the only room in the game where the Giant's Mask can be used. In the original release of Majora's Mask, the Giant's Mask is found after defeating an Eyegore; however, in the Nintendo 3DS remake the Giant's Mask is found in the boss room itself. In the original release, Giant Link could use the Kokiri Sword and its upgraded versions, but in the remake, Giant Link instead uses several punches, kicks and grapples in battle. Additionally, in both versions, Tatl does not grow alongside Link, and thus Giant Link is unable to use Z-targeting on distant foes.
