Template:Enemy Stone Statues are tall, sometimes fire-breathing, rock monoliths scattered abundantly about the many dungeons in The Legend of Zelda series. These statues reflect the motif of their dungeon, expressing such in the form of individualistic symbolism and decoration. While statues of stone appear in all Zelda titles to date, only those in The Legend of Zelda, Link's Awakening, Oracle of Ages, Oracle of Seasons and The Wind Waker are of any such significance. Characteristics
Like the Blade Traps and other architectural intricacies of dungeons, their creators are unknown, and the fact that they cannot be destroyed only adds to the intangible mystery surrounding such rock. Stone statues often welcome Link at the entrance of a dungeon, and are placed sporadically about its innards as a form of decoration, and in some cases, like in The Legend of Zelda and Link's Awakening, these statues act as a solitary enemy, shooting balls of fire at Link whenever in close proximity. In a dungeon environment, they are seen in pairs or individually, often at the corners of a room, or joined in the center. The Stone Statues of Oracle of Ages and Oracle of Seasons can "watch" Link as he navigates through a dungeon, a trait that the statues of all other titles do not have.
In The Wind Waker, Moblin-shaped statues appear in Forsaken Fortress and Savage Labyrinth, extending from the walls. Though they brandish spears, if they spot or smell Link, they will attempt to destroy the young hero with other means; the statues that inhabit the Forsaken Fortress will attempt to strike him with laser beams from their noses, similarly to the Beamos, and the ones that reside within the 50th floor of the Savage Labyrinth will generate fire from their mouths.
In The Minish Cap, the Stone Statues that appear in Dark Hyrule Castle will persistently firing bombs, in a manner similar to the Warships from The Wind Waker.
