The Garo Master is a mini-boss from The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask. As his name may suggest, he is master of all the Garo, and as such, is larger, quicker and more skilled than normal Garo.
The Garo Master is encountered three times: as the mini-boss of Stone Tower Temple, in the Secret Shrine, and in the Hylian Moon Dungeon at the Moon. The Garo Master uses fire blades.
[edit] Strategy
In order to defeat the Garo Master, Link must utilize his shield to block its attacks. Sometimes, when Link approaches the Garo Master, he disappears and attempts to attack Link from behind. If Link walks out of Garo Master's viewpoint, he will become confused and can easily be hit by an Arrow or a Sword attack. It is also possible to freeze Garo Master with an Ice Arrow; however, this can prove to be difficult, as he can deflect them if timed incorrectly.
The Goron Mask is very useful in battle against the Garo Master, as Goron Link's "shell" (shield) can be used to block attacks from any direction. Also, Goron Link's blows will often hit harder than regular Link, depending on Link's sword.
After the Garo Master is defeated, he takes out a Bomb as a last-ditch effort to destroy both his remains and Link. Link can easily avoid this by keeping his distance until the bomb explodes, causing the Garo Master to vanish.
