The Game Developers Conference, also known as the GDC, is an annual expo for video game developers that started in 1988. History

The Game Developers Conference, then named the Computer Game Developers Conference, was organized by Chris Crawford in 1988. What started as a small game developer get-together has since turned into the largest annual gathering of professional video game developers.
