- "Are you thinking you want to get into that cave, small fry? The one that's protected by the crazy winds on that island? Heh heh heh! Ok, then, let me just tell you a little secret... If you go five squares south and one square east from here, you'll reach Ice Ring Isle, where you'll find an item that will make you as heavy as stone! If you get that item, you won't have to worry about getting blown over by winds."

Gale Isle is a location from The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker. A small, rocky, barren island, it is located on the northern edge of the Great Sea in grid square A4, surrounded by a few smaller islets and guarded by Warships. Before Hyrule was flooded, Gale Isle was a mountain peak which contained an entrance to the Wind Temple inside the mountain. However, the island still contains caverns, which lead down below to the Wind Temple. To prevent anyone from gaining access to the island's cave, a large statue that blew out wind at high speeds was built in front of the cavern's entrance. Even if this was destroyed, there was still a larger stone slab that could only be removed when the Wind Sage would play the "Wind God's Aria". Other than the cave containing the entrance to the Wind Temple, there are also a few Rupees that lay on top of the islands highest peak that can only be retrieved by a seagull. One of the Triforce Shards is submerged in the water just off the coast of Gale Isle.
