Frozen Hyrule is a location from The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Adventures. It is an area in southwestern Hyrule that is covered by a few forests and lakes. It is the seventh level of the game and includes three stages: Frozen Hyrule, The Ice Temple, and the Tower of Winds. The area usually had mild winters, but Vaati used his dark power to keep the area in perpetual winter.

[edit] Frozen Hyrule stage

Frozen Hyrule is the first stage of the level of the same name. When Link arrives, he is in a small ice-covered area with a few enemies. Under the nearby rock, he can find Bombs, the Hero's Bow, Pegasus Boots and the Boomerang. In order to progress in the stage, Link must first obtain the Fire Rod which is hidden in the far northeast. After making his way through the heavy blizzards and obtaining the fire rod, Link can melt the frozen Force Gems as well as snow walls.

After Link finds the Moon's Pearl in the west, he can continue north, where he must defeat Manhandla for the second time. After it is defeated, Link must defeat the final Big Stalfos. Once the Big Stalfos is defeated, Link gains the final Jewel, the Purple Jewel.
