The Pond of Happiness is a location from The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past. Located in a large cave on the center island of Lake Hylia, the Pond of Happiness serves as the home to the queen of the Fairies, Venus. Upon entering the cave, Link finds himself in a long hallway reaching up to a small pond. The pond talks to Link and asks him how many Rupees he would like to throw in. Link can only throw in 5 or 20 Rupees at first, but later amounts increase to 25 or 50 rupees. Link is blessed for throwing Rupees into the Pond of Happiness with either good or bad luck, and when he deposits 100 Rupees, Link is greeted by the beautiful queen of the Fairies, Venus, who grants him the ability to hold five more arrows or five more bombs, up to the point where Link can carry fifty bombs and seventy arrows.
