Obviously he hasn't contributed much to the Wiki itself, but he does seem to be pretty regular over on the discussions. As I said in the above thread, the thought never crossed my mind that people would frequent the discussions and not come to the Wiki.
- I think we need to put a system in place to promote people to discussion moderators. A place like the RfA page or something similar could work. Green Rupee 00:27, February 21, 2017 (UTC)
Well I know I won't be frequenting the discussion boards often and some body needs to run them so if he seems trustworthy then I say go for it (though I would like it if we still have ultimate control in case someone gets a bit too tyrannical) Oni Dark Link 12:31, February 21, 2017 (UTC)
This proposal really seems useful, we could try with one promoted discussion moderator, but I think the team should keep a regular eye on the discussion board in order to prevent any problematic things. Just to be sure, do all admins here have moderation rights by default there? WiseAdventurer (talk) 15:41, February 21, 2017 (UTC)
Since it's so new I don't see a problem with giving him only discussion moderator rights. If moderation ever becomes a problem we could extend the rights to rollbackers. Green Rupee 22:00, February 21, 2017 (UTC)
- Okay, since everyone seems willing to try it, I'll give him discussion moderating privileges and see how things go. If he starts abusing them or anything weird starts happening, I'll take them away and we'll know that in the future, people will have to earn the rights. —Ceiling Master 16:10, February 24, 2017 (UTC)
