So this has been put on the shelf for long enough. We seriously need to re-think how we go about b'crat rights. This is admin's only, and shall be protected as such. Inactive admin's may comment on the situation, but cannont effect the final decision.
The plan I propose is: All currently active admin's can keep their b'crat rights, and all inactive admin's (with the exception of Richard) will loose theirs. After that, there should be six active b'crats, and the number will be capped at that, i.e. if one of the active b'crats goes inactive, they loose their b'crat rights and another shall take their place.
But, this is a disscustion, and new idea's are more than welcome.
EDIT:The disscustion will be put to a close at 03:28, December 12, 2009 (UTC)

I agree. Just one thing though, what if there's nobody suitable to take the inactive admin's place? Do we just wait until there is?
Well instead of capping it, how about requiring another application to gain b'crat rights, in which they have to explain why they would be beneficial. We wouldn't make any new rules or requirements, they would just have to explain what the benefit would be. But naturally if we have 4-6 b'crats already we wouldn't need more. If no one likes this I'm fine with CC's idea.
I was orginally thinking along the same lines, but if we elect to have all the active admin's keep our rights, then we will already have 6. To be honest, our ideas are almost the same, except mine has a cap and your's does not.
Here is a hypothetical explaination as to why I think mine is a lot easier: One of the b'crats goes inactive(like several months or so) and we decide to remove their rights. After that all we have to do is cacacus somewhere private and agree who is to take their place, and grant the selected indivual the rights. Your's would mean we would have to do this a bit more often, and it is hard to get the six of us on at the same time.
Other than that, they are basically the same.

I pesonally prefer CC's idea. But it shoudn't be a forced 6 B'crat, it should be a max 6 (a preferably 6) b'crats. Nobody should have to be promoted purely to take up this role.
Well, if that is to be the case than I think a comprise should be the best fit. There will be a 6 at the most, and if a there is a spot open, and a user feels that he/she is ready, they may suggest it to the active b'crats.

No absolutely not. They still have to meet the requirements for promotion. If they do that, than ok.

That's what I meant.

Well then yeah. That was pretty much implied in my first comment a few minutes ago. So what now?
I was implying that in order to be "ready" you have to be an admin.
Umm.... I'm out of ideas. Do you have any?

Yeah, and a list of all users to remove the rights. I think this is it: Baltro, Bek, LadyNorbert, ShutUpNavi, and UP.
O and we need a clear agreement from the others.

Why are you convinced Richard should keep them? First hes a helper so Im pretty sure he has them regardless, second he wont be here anymore (or at least for a long time), third it will just confuse the system we just agreed upon.
I dunno. I don't think it really matters regardless if he has it or not. I'm not conviced, just saying better safe than sorry.

I don't understand your reasoning. That makes 7, which completely detracts from the 6 b'crat concept. I think its pretty clear: AK, you, me, Kmil, Triforce and XYZ are the 6 active admins.
I'm pretty sure I have to read a book for one of my classes, so I'll use this time to do that.

No rights for Richard, unless he needs them to complete his daily tasks.I think that we should double the requirements to be admin to be eligible for b'crat.

I say there should not be requirments, just if there is a spot open, and admin without b'crat rights may present the other b'crats why they should get the rights.
Final Tally
To show that we are all in complete agreement, there will be one final tally. Either support or oppose, unless there is something that hasn't been disscused then feel free to voice it above.
