Forums: Index Help desk Are these pics good?

Yo. I'm now attempting to enter the realm of ZP photography. This here is a test pic I took off project 64 in full screen mode (I'm not sure how to make it appear in-page). I'm looking for feedback on how to improve it, or else approval to upload images like this one where needed. Obviously this particular one doesn't belong anywhere, and I'll be cropping out the HUD and whatnot for real images, this is just a quick example. Let me know what you think. Thanks.--FierceDeku 01:55, April 5, 2011 (UTC)

In all honesty, not good enough. The resolution is low, the anti-aliasing is bad, etc. If you can't get it at least past 1366x768, 4AA, 32-Bit, with Widescreen hack, don't bother with the effort, as they'll just get replaced. EDIT: If you can up the AA, at least, and are good at cropping, it doesn't matter nearly as much with the other specs. --AuronKaizer! 06:36, April 5, 2011 (UTC)
Here's another pic. This one has better resolution (my monitor doesn't even have 1366 pixels in width, but since we almost never display anything as more than 200 pixels wide or whatever, I don't know that it's going to be a huge deal that it's only 1024x768). Anti-aliasing is maxed in Project64 (I totally forgot about it the first time). To me it doesn't seem bad now compared to other images on ZP, but I can anti-alias it further through other means if needed. What's that about widescreen? Is it even possible to get an N64 game into widescreen? Why would that be a requirement for images, since that's not what the real game even looks like? Also, even that first pic was 32 bit by my understanding of the term, am I thinking of something else? Let me know what you guys think. Thanks.--FierceDeku 23:49, April 5, 2011 (UTC)
