The Fortified Shield is a shield from The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword. It is the upgrade to the Iron Shield meaning it has increased durability but still cannot protect Link from electric-based attacks, and shatters if a Thunder Keese hits it. Among all the shields in the game, in terms of the number of hits it can sustain before breaking, the Fortified Shield has the highest (excluding the unbreakable Hylian Shield), meaning it is the second strongest shield in terms of durability. It can be obtained from the Reinforced Shield at the Scrap Shop in the Bazaar by using two Eldin Ores, three Monster Claws, three Tumbleweeds and a Blue Bird Feather.
