The Flame Lantern is an item from The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap. It is obtained in the Temple of Droplets. The Flame Lantern allows Link to see in dark areas, light torches, burn grass (unfortunately also burning the items hidden under it) , and melt ice. It can also be used to burn the bandages of a Gibdo, revealing a regular Stalfos underneath. The Flame Lantern will also instantly kill any type of Wizzrobe. Unlike most other Lanterns in the series, the Flame Lantern requires neither magic nor Lantern Oil to produce flames.

Interestingly, the official artwork for the Flame Lantern bears little resemblance to the in-game item; however, they are nearly identical to the suspended lanterns that appear in The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker that Link uses to cross holes, such as the ones in the hold of the Pirate Ship and inside the Forsaken Fortress.
