- "These quick-witted lizard-like monsters can be found all over Hyrule. Their fiery breath makes them pretty dangerous, but exposure to cold will kill them instantly. They mainly make their homes in volcanic areas but have also been sighted in the Akkala region."

Fire-Breath Lizalfos (or Red Lizalfos) are enemies from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. They are an fire based Lizalfos variant that generally inhabit volcanic areas of Hyrule, though can occasionally be found in other areas of Hyrule such as Akkala and Gerudo Desert. As their name implies, they are a species of Lizalfos capable of breathing fire. Additionally, they have adapted to living in volcanic areas so much that they can even survive and swim in Lava, much like how other Lizalfos swim in water. However they are extremely vulnerable to cold and as a result can be killed instantly when hit with ice based weapons, Ice Arrows, or a freezing cloud produced by striking White Chuchu Jelly. They drop Lizalfos Horns, Lizalfos Talons, and Red Lizalfos Tails. Like other Lizalfos they generally wield "Lizal" series weapons, though occasionally use types of weaponry such as the Stone Smasher Goron Sword. In addition to their fire breath, they can use their tongues and tails to attack as well. They can also camouflage themselves to match the nearby terrain.
Fire-Breath Lizalfos are primarily carnivorous feeding primarily on meat and insects such as Smotherwing Butterfly, though they will eat the occasional Fish as well, though presumably those that inhabit volcanic regions rarely consume fish as part of their diet, as the only fish they would have access to would be Sizzlefin Trout found in certain Hot Springs.
