In The Wind Waker, the Joyous Volunteer Association is a group whose objective is to decorate Windfall Island with decorative items in order to make the town seem more lively and joyful.[1] The association came into being after Mrs. Marie, the town's school teacher, began to try and spread joy to the island through her expertise in exterior decor. Hearing of her efforts, the shop master Zunari was moved deeply and also began to show an interest in volunteer activities.[2] Soon enough, metal pedestals known as Joy Pedestals began to get installed all around the town to help decorate Windfall.[3]

The only known group members of the Joyous Volunteer Association are Mrs. Marie, Zunari, and Sam.

If Link helps the cause of the Joyous Volunteer Association by placing decorative items on the Joy Pedestals around the town, he will be rewarded with a Piece of Heart by Sam.[4]
