Template:Enemy Bulblins are enemies found in Twilight Princess and Spirit Tracks. They have green skin and wear bandit gear, which presumably enables them with defense. They wield one of two weapons: a club, a bow with flame-ignited arrows, or bomb arrows. The Bulblins armed with clubs also have a quiver of arrows on their back, indicating the possibility that all Bulblins are armed identically, but choose one or other weapon at any given time. The Bulblins also ride Bullbos (usually two on each Bullbo in Twilight Princess) and shoot their flaming arrows at Link.

Appearances

Twilight Princess

In Twilight Princess, Bulblins are one of the most common enemies in the game and seem to fill out the gap left in the Zelda series where Moblins and other similar creatures have abandoned it. They seem to have a significant presence in Hyrule by the time of Twilight Princess. They serve their leader, King Bulblin, who in turn serves Zant. In the Twilight, they become Shadow Bulbins, which alters their appearance so they look like miniature versions of Shadow Beasts and wear masks of a sort. They attack in the same way, with arrows or clubs.

The Bulblins seem to be an advance party for Zant's Shadow Beasts. They went to the four springs of Hyrule where they cleared the path for Zant's invasion of Hyrule by opening up the springs of each of the provinces. Link manages to destroy their base camp in the Gerudo Desert and by the end of the game, they decide not to fight for Ganondorf and are seen in the end credits running through Hyrule Field with their King, possibly being at peace with Hyrule. The fate of their species or where they came from is still unknown.

After King Bulblin is defeated, he decides to admit defeat to Link in cohesive speech, proving Bulblins can speak Hylian, which Midna expresses surprise over. He decides to form an alliance with Link, as he is "on the winning side". Although, it should be noted that Bulblins in Hyrule Field and other places still attack Link, despite being under a leader that joined forces with him.

Spirit Tracks

Bulblins reappear in Spirit Tracks, as common enemies while Link is riding the Spirit Train. They ride in on Bullbos, and either charge Link or shoot explosive arrows from afar. They appear at certain set locations in the Forest Realm and Snow Realm, and either attack in pairs or with another lone Bullbo. Although redesigned to fit the cel-shaded style of the game, the overall design of Bulblins has barely changed since their appearance in Twilight Princess.

Super Smash Bros. Brawl

Bulblins also appear in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, on the stage Bridge of Eldin. When King Bulblin races by, a Bulblin will occasionally run after him. They can be knocked off the bridge by hitting them a few times. They also have a trophy dedicated to them.
