[[File:File:Sheikah Slate.png.png|20x20px]] [[|]] The Sheikah Slate is an item in Breath of the Wild.

Location and Uses

The Sheikah Slate is a multipurpose tool bearing the Eye Symbol of the Sheikah. Link obtains it shortly after being awakened by a disembodied voice in the Shrine of Resurrection. Though Link has no recollection of seeing it before, he finds it familiar.[1]

The Sheikah Slate can act as a key to grant access to any of the many shrines located across Hyrule.

Rune Abilities

The slate is able to receive Runes, a form of information that bestows to Link a number of different abilities.

Magnesis

The Magnesis Rune is acquired in the Shrine Oman Au. This Rune allows Link to lift and move metallic objects with a magnetic force.[2]

Remote Bomb

The Remote Bomb Rune is acquired in the Shrine Ja Baij. This Rune allows Link to summon a bomb. The bombs come in two different shapes: round bombs, which Link can roll to their destination, and cubed bombs, which remain in their dropped location. As the bombs are controlled remotely, the moment of the bomb's detonation are able to be controlled.[3]
