Template:Future game [[File:TFH Costumes Art.png|20x20px]] [[|]] Costumes are special articles of Clothing which empower the Links with special abilities in Tri Force Heroes.

Locations and Uses

Costumes grant each Link a special ability based on the theme of the attire. Certain Costumes may bolster a Link's defensive capabilities, while others may increase the power or range of certain weapons. Costumes are obtained by collecting Materials from courses and using them to craft the Costumes, or by purchasing the Costumes from a store. Rare Materials from Challenge Courses will yield more powerful Costumes.[1] Some Costume Materials are exclusive to the Coliseum Multiplayer mode, as well.[2] Certain Costumes also affect the Sword that each Link uses.[3]

Non-Canon Appearances

Hyrule Warriors

In Hyrule Warriors, Costumes are skins that can be applied to playable Warriors to make them appear different. They are usually recolors of a character's standard outfit, although some Costumes feature entirely different outfits. Costumes can be accessed from the weapon selection screen after selecting a Warrior, by pressing the X-Button which will bring up the Costumes screen. New Costumes can be unlocked either by completing certain requirements in Legend Mode or Adventure Mode, usually by winning a battle under a certain rank in the latter, or through purchasing and downloading DLC Packs.

Trivia

  • According to the official Japanese site, some Costumes are said to contain the souls of individuals skilled in whatever ability they grant. For example, the Spin Attack Attire contains the soul of a samurai who trained diligently to master the Spin Attack,[4] and the Sword Suit contains the soul of a swordfighter.[5] Both the Kokiri Clothes and the Zora Costume contain the souls of members of their tribes, the Kokiri and Zoras, respectively.[6][7]
  • The Legendary Dress was known as the Zelda Dress in the E3 2015 demo. The reason for this change is unknown.
