The Fairy Queen is a character from The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages. The queen of the fairies of Labrynna, the Fairy Queen is a powerful entity, who watches over the nature and the sea, specifically. Strangely, true form is similar to that of other Great Fairies from certain portable Legend of Zelda games.
Spoiler warning: Plot and/or ending details follow.
After Veran possesses Nayru and wreaks havoc on the past and present ages, she at one point puts a curse on the Fairy Queen, turning her into an Octorok. She then uses her magic to poison the sea, making the water polluted.
Link, on his quest to defeat Veran, is required to cleanse the sea in order to enter the seventh dungeon, Jabu-Jabu's Belly. He finds the Fairy Queen, who tells him of her plight. He goes to the Eyeglass Isle Library and obtains the Fairy Powder, the only thing that can break the curse on the Fairy Queen. He sprinkles the powder on her, and her true form is restored. She cleanses the sea, allowing Link to enter Jabu-Jabu.
