- "Hey, buddy! Got a map? So on this map of yours, do you see Dueling Peaks to the north of here? Well, apparently that used to be just one mountain a really long time ago. The legends say a dragon god split the mountain in half to forge a way through, and that's how it went from one to two. Recently, some are even saying they've seen the shadow of a large creature on the surface of Lake Floria! I wonder if any of that is true..."

Dueling Peaks are a location from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. It is located in the central part of the West Necluda region. The Dueling Peaks Tower is found here. As the name suggests, Dueling Peaks is a pair of mountains with a narrow divide separating them. The Squabble River runs through this divide and Ree Dahee Shrine can be found between the two mountains. The twin shrines Shee Vaneer Shrine and Shee Venath Shrine can be found at the mountaintops.
According to a legend heard from Shay at the Lakeside Stable during Link's travels, the Dueling Peaks where originally a single mountain but was eventually split in two by a dragon god living in Hyrule to forge a way through, probably referring to either Dinraal, Naydra or Farosh. However Shay also mentions sightings of the shadow of large creature on the surface of Lake Floria, which is Farosh's domain implying it may be the Dragon God Shay was speaking of. Additionally Dueling Peaks is close to Mount Floria which is where Farosh starts its journey down Riola Spring to Floria Falls into Lake Floria.
