The Desert Palace is the second dungeon of The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past. It is one of the three dungeons housing the Pendants of Virtue. Its pendant is the Pendant of Power. It is the Light World equivalent of the Misery Mire. The floor of the palace looks like sand in most parts.

Spoiler warning: Plot and/or ending details follow.

Link must get the three Pendants of Virtue in order to obtain the Master Sword. The Desert Palace is, according to Sahasrahla, the home of the second pendant.

Spoiler warning: Spoilers end here.

[edit] Dungeon

The Desert Palace is located in the southwest corner of the Light World, in the desert. In order to proceed into the temple, Link must translate the Hylian Text on a stone monument using the Book of Mudora. There are actually two palaces: the main one, where the Power Glove is hidden, and another built into the cliff behind it, where the Pendant of Power is kept. To enter the second section, Link needs to find the left entrance to the palace and clear away some rocks with the Power Glove.
