Dark Link is a mini-boss from The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks. He is the final enemy in the third stage of Take 'Em All On. He appears to be Link's shadow, and has copies of his sword, bow, and bombs, which he exploits in battle. Dark Link starts the duel looking like a black shadow of Link, but as he takes damage, he becomes lighter and more transparent. Interestingly, this is in reverse to Dark Link in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, who starts the battle transparent and becomes more shadowlike as the battle progresses.

During the battle, Link is restricted from using any items apart from his sword. Dark Link, however, is able to use his bow and bombs in addition to his sword during the duel. When Dark Link pulls out a bomb, Link is given a prime opportunity to attack him, as Dark Link will not be holding up his shield. This will also likely deal damage to Link, however, as he will be caught in the blast. Link can also wait until Dark Link throws the bombs, and then throw them back.

Dark Link's arrows are easy to dodge, as he always seems to fire three shots in a predictable pattern. Dark Link has a Great Spin Attack skill that can be troublesome, but his other sword attacks are very overdone versions of the jump attack. When he uses this jump, it is easy for Link to get behind and attack him. After about 10 hits, Dark Link collapses, and the battle ends.
