The Clock Tower is a location from The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask. The center of Clock Town, it is the place that Link meets the Happy Mask Salesman at the start of the game. It is considered the first 'real' location of the game; there are tunnels that lead from the previous land Link was in (presumed to be Hyrule), but these are never visited again, as they are sealed when Link passed from them.
The Clock Tower stands in the middle of Clock Town, which in turn lies in the center of the four areas that make up Termina, and is the focus of the Carnival of Time, the preparations for of which can be seen in progress throughout the game. On the night of the third day, the Clock Tower 'opens' for the celebrations. This is done by the main face of the clock rising upwards, then being tipped back by a large weight atop the tower in order to make a flat, round area that the inhabitants of Clock Town can climb on to to celebrate, which can be reached by ramps leading from the town square into the Clock Tower itself - only when the Tower is open, however.
The Clock Tower acts as a sort of 'hub' for the game; at the end of each three-day cycle, Link emerges from the ground floor of the tower and into the Clock Town square. It is also a key location at the climax of the game, as it is to here that Link summons the Four Giants and confronts the Skull Kid and Majora's Mask.
In the 'failed' ending of the game, we see the destruction of the Tower as the Moon comes down on top of it (The tower lies directly below the descending Moon), and then the subsequent destruction of the rest of Termina. If this end comes around, then Link is apparently taken back to see the Happy Mask Salesman, who proclaims "You've met with a terrible fate, haven't you?" It is not known where this exactly takes place, nor how the Salesman is able to talk to Link.

[edit] Trivia
- In the basement-like area below the Clock Tower (where the Happy Mask Salesman is first encountered by Link), there is a small area of water. If Link visits said body of water in his Zora form, he can sink to the bottom and view a strange clump of green algae that appears to have a ghostly form of a Nintendo 64 controller within it. The controller seems to be nothing more than an easter egg hidden in the game.
- Also of note is the fact that time seems to stand still whenever Link enters the Clock Tower. Whenever the player enters the Clock Tower the timer ticking down to the doomsday disappears and when the player exits it hasn't moved at all. This could possibly be attributed to the Happy Mask Salesman's strange powers.
