The Cleaning Man is a beta character from The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword. He is a Hylian man who shows signs of having obsessive-compulsive disorder. According to lead character designer Akiko Hirono, the Cleaning Man was an important character during the development process.

The Cleaning Man was initially intended to appear in a sub-event, but was cut from the final product. Wearing white gloves to avoid germs, he carried tongs and a portable trashcan to pick up after those who littered. He was a high-strung character who would often overreact.
