- "I've heard that a stone called the Moon's Tear shines brighter than any other in the land! If you've got one, I'd really like to get it from you. My wife would love it! If you give it to me, I'll give you my spot here... Deku Flower included!"
- — Clock Town Business Scrub
Business Scrubs are recurring enemies in the Legend of Zelda series. When their Deku Nuts are deflected onto them, these Deku Scrubs reluctantly attempt to do business or offer advice for Link. Like Deku Scrubs, some Business Scrubs, namely the ones pertaining to the Title Deed trades, are able to use the plant-like vestige on their head to fly.

[edit] Appearances
[edit] The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
Business Scrubs sell a variety of items Link can usually find at stores, but at slightly higher prices. Some Business Scrubs will offer to increase Link's ability to carry more of a specific item for a small fee. In this game, they can also be "uprooted" if Link pounds the ground with the Megaton Hammer. A Piece of Heart can be obtained from one Business Scrub.
[edit] The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask
Business Scrubs are involved in part of a Trading Quest used to acquire five Pieces of Heart. All Business Scrubs in the game that are above-ground are members of the Business Scrub Association. Though they sell several helpful items, in accordance to Association rules most sell their wares only to specific races. There is one Business Scrub in every compass direction and each has a different personality:
- The Scrub in South Clock Town wishes to please his wife. Though he sells nothing in town, he sells a Piece of Heart in his grotto in Termina Field.
- The Scrub near Old Koume's Boat Cruise in the swamp dreams of city life. He sells Magic Beans exclusively to Deku Scrubs.
- The Scrub in Goron Village is deeply homesick and longs to return to his heritage in the swamp. He sells Biggest Bomb Bags to Gorons in return for their Big Bomb Bags.
- The Scrub renting Lulu's room in Zora Hall dislikes the atmosphere of the coast and hopes one day to work at a resort. He sells Green Potions to Zoras.
- The Scrub living near Sakon's Hideout in Ikana Canyon is fearful of the undead on Ikana Hill. He sells Blue Potions to any race.
Also in North Clock Town are two Business Scrub-like Deku Scrub Brothers who hold games for Deku Scrubs.
The propeller-like leaves that characterized the Business Scrubs in Ocarina of Time are still present in Majora's Mask, but when on the ground the Scrubs cover them with party hat-like cones. These leaves perform like helicopter propellers, allowing Business Scrubs to travel long distances with heavy cargo.
Business Scrubs in Majora's Mask are also notably larger, and boast small leafy mustaches. Like Mad Scrubs, all Business Scrubs are found in usable Deku Flowers. These particular Deku Flowers are all located near Pieces of Heart.
This is the only game in which Business Scrubs are characters rather than enemies.
[edit] The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages and Oracle of Seasons
- "I have seen certain kinds of Deku Scrubs that actually engage in business! They're called Business Scrubs!"
- — Man in Lynna City
In Oracle of Ages, Business Scrubs appear in the Fairy's Forest, on Crescent Island, and a few other places around Labrynna.
In Oracle of Seasons, Business Scrubs appear sporadically in grottos or the overworld. There are three Business Scrubs in all; two are found on Mt. Cucco and offer Link advice rather than items, and one is encountered in the Tarm Ruins area, and plays a part in the trading quest for the Noble Sword.
[edit] The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap
Business Scrubs appear occasionally, attempting to sell Link something once they have been "defeated". Unlike Deku Scrubs in previous titles, Business Scrubs need only be defeated once; upon revisiting the area, the Scrub will already be happy to trade with Link. Business Scrubs claim that they spit seeds when they speak and all they wish to do is sell their wares. One Business Scrub sells Link the Grip Ring, which is needed to advance in the game.
