Blind is the boss of Thieves' Town, the fourth dungeon in the Dark World in The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past. In the Game Boy Advance port of A Link to the Past, Blind (with a different color palette) reappears as a mini-boss in the Palace of the Four Sword.
Despite his name, he is not actually blind, but he hates bright light. It is not known what Blind's appearance was like in the Light World, but in the Dark World, Blind appears as a red-skinned demon dressed in what appears to be a giant sheet.
[edit] Biography
Spoiler warning: Plot and/or ending details follow.
Blind was once a renowned thief, whose gang of thieves operated out of a base in Kakariko Village. Somehow, Blind stumbled onto an entrance to the Dark World where he was transformed and became a servant of Ganon. He was charged with guarding Thieves' Town, a huge dungeon situated beneath the Village of Outcasts, the Dark World equivalent of Kakariko Village.
Eventually, Link arrives in Thieves' Town to rescue one of the Seven Maidens whom had been captured by Agahnim. As a trap for Link, Blind assumed the form of the captured maiden and placed himself in a cell within the dungeon. Link finds and rescues the "maiden", however, on their way out, they happen upon a brightly lit room. Blind is pained and reveals his true form to Link. Link defeats him and rescues the true maiden.

[edit] Battle
Once Blind begins the battle, he fires magical energy beams at Link at a regular pace. As he sustains damage, Blind's body crumples into a heap, and his head is dislodged. Shortly thereafter, he regenerates and begins his regular attack pattern again while his disembodied head works in tandem with Blind to damage Link. After having sustained yet more damage, he repeats the process, creating another disembodied head that Link has to avoid. After damaging him sufficiently the third time, Blind is defeated.
