[edit] The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time

Spoiler warning: Plot and/or ending details follow.

While on his quest to gather the Spiritual Stones, Link enters the inside of Jabu-Jabu's belly to search for the Zora's Sapphire. Inside, he meets Princess Ruto, and together they work to find the Spiritual Stone. Inside a circular room, they see the Spiritual Stone on top of a platform. Link throws Ruto onto the platform. She approaches the mystical stone, but as she does so, the platform rises up through a hole in the roof. When the platform comes down again, Princess Ruto is nowhere to be seen; however, the Bigocto appears to battle Link.

Spoiler warning: Spoilers end here.

[edit] Battle

To defeat Bigocto, Link must run around the spinning circular platform, while avoiding the spikes, in the opposite direction it is moving. When he comes close enough to Bigocto, he must throw the Boomerang at the green orb protruding out of its body, effectively damaging it. It returns after being stunned for a short while and turns around to chase Link. Link must repeat the process again to defeat it.

[edit] The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask

Bigoctos appear as enemies in the Southern Swamp. They block the entrance to caves in the area and cannot be defeated by conventional methods before Link obtains the Hero's Bow; instead, they are defeated when hit with one of the cruise boats Link can hire from the Swamp Tourist Center.
