Big Octorok is the fourth boss in The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap. Despite its name, it is not actually a giant Octorok. Rather, Link's small size makes Link assume that it is larger than normal. Big Octorok is located in the Temple of Droplets and is frozen in the beginning of the dungeon. When Link unfreezes the Water Element, he also unfreezes the Big Octorok, who proceeds to suck in the water element and retreat into the room behind him.

[edit] Battle

The battle begins in shallow water, where Big Octorok will spit rocks at Link. Link must reflect them with his sword to damage Big Octorok. After enough hits, Big Octorok will transform into an Ice Octorok and gain another attack. Big Octorok can now attempt to suck Link up and spit him out. In his ice form Big Octorok doesn't spit rocks, so Link must run around him to set his tail on fire with the Flame Lantern. After this, Big Octorok will return to the wet form of the arena, and Link must battle him by deflecting his rocks again. After a few more back and forth, Big Octorok will put out the light, forcing Link to use the Flame Lantern again to avoid Big Octorok's Charges. After defeating Big Octorok, Link gains the Water Element.
