- "This hearty radish has grown much larger than the average radish. It's rich in analeptic compounds that, when cooked into a dish, temporarily increase your maximum hearts."

A Big Hearty Radish is an item in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Its shape is similar to that of a Heart. It is a curative item that restore Link's health by refilling four Heart Containers. Link can roast it with fire or volcanic temperatures to create Roasted Big Radish. Link can use it in cooking to create "Hearty" food dishes. It can also be used as an ingredient in Creamy Heart Soup.
It is a rare Hearty Radish that has grown much larger than the average radish, thus it is rarer than Hearty Radish and thus is more valuable vegetable and cooking ingredient. Link can take its picture with the Camera Rune to add its entry to the Hyrule Compendium where it appears as entry number 185 in the Compendium's Materials section. They tend to grow more commonly in Akkala Highlands and Lanayru Great Spring regions according to its entry's common locations section.
However they also grow in other areas, though not as commonly as in those two regions. One Big Hearty Radish grows next to the crumbled remains of a ruined pillar at the foot of Nero Hill in the Tabantha Frontier region (southwest of Tabantha Tower and northwest of Kaysa's Great Fairy Fountain), where it is being admired by a nearby Bokoblin. Link doesn't necessarily have to kill the Bokoblin to obtain it, as he can simply rush over and grab it. He can also use the Bokoblin Mask or Majora's Mask (obtained in a "The Mater Trials" DLC side quest) to disguise himself which will causes the Bokoblin to view Link as a fellow monster, allowing Link to pick it without conflict. Another Big Hearty Radish will occasionally regrow in its place if Link leaves the area and returns later.
