Beneath the Well is a mini-dungeon found in The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask. It is located in northern Ikana Canyon.
It involves an extensive maze of rooms, populated by various monsters, including a Gibdo guarding every door. Each door is sealed by bars, and the only way to progress is to don the Gibdo Mask and give the Gibdo what it wants. The Gibdos' demands include Blue Potion, five Magic Beans, ten Bombs, ten Deku Nuts, a Bug, Milk, a Fish, Spring Water, Hot Spring Water, Romani Milk, and a Big Poe, which can be found in the well. Each room also contains an object used to advance, and objects vary, from Spring Water to bugs. A cow can be found in one of the rooms, and it will give milk when "Epona's Song" is played. There are certain items that must be obtained and brought into the well, such as a Blue Potion. In addition to Gibdos, Wallmasters are also prevalent. If Link is caught by one, he will have to start from the entrance of the Well.
Due to the difficulty and length of this mini-dungeon, many players are forced to simply complete it, obtain the Mirror Shield, then reset time with the "Song of Time". However, once the Mirror Shield is obtained, Link can easily enter the Ancient Castle of Ikana without traversing the well again. This can be done by finding a secret passage on the outside of the castle gate and hitting the Crystal Switch. This triggers a flood of light that can be directed to a Sun Block, disintegrating it and granting Link access to Ikana Castle's courtyard.
