The "Ballad of Gales" is a song from The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker. When played on the Wind Waker, this song allows Link him to harness the power of cyclones. The abilty was granted to him by Cyclos, the god of gales, after Link stumbled upon him in a mighty twister and shot him thrice with the Hero's Bow. Impressed by his courage and strength, Cyclos taught Link the melody, which enabled him to transport both him and his boat to several different destinations in the Great Sea.
It also appeared in The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, as a wolf song to summon the Hero's Shade.
