[edit] The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past
Armos Knights are the bosses of the Eastern Palace, the first dungeon in the game. They consist of six blue statues that, despite being armed with swords and shield, only hop around in predefined patterns. To damage them, Link must shoot them with his Bow, and after enough hits, the knight dies. Once five are killed, the remaining knight turns red and begins hopping aggressively, attempting to land on Link. When the final Knight is defeated, Link earns a Heart Container and the Pendant of Courage.
Armos Knights re-appear in Ganon's Tower in the Dark World. Aside from the floor being made of ice, the battle is exactly the same as the first encounter

[edit] The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening
A single Armos Knight appears in the Face Shrine, acting as an out-of-dungeon mini-boss. While its armor is on, arrows are the only thing that can damage it. Once its armor has been destroyed it becomes vulnerable to Link's sword. It attacks by running towards Link and pounding the ground to stun him. Link can use the Roc's Feather to avoid the shockwaves of the pound attack. Upon defeat Link will receive the Face Key.
[edit] The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker
Armos Knights appear in the Tower of the Gods, the Wind Temple, and the Savage Labyrinth. In this game, they appear to be large stone statues with horns, a single eye, and a hatch resembling a mouth. They will attack Link by charging him if he gets too close. To defeat them, Link must throw a Bomb into their mouths when they are open. Their mouths only open when they briefly stop moving toward Link. Link can stun the Armos Knights by shooting their eye with the Hero's Bow, allowing them to be defeated more easily.
